Colonial First State Website Redesign

Colonial First State is one of Australia’s most prominent wealth management groups. While I was working at Wilson Fletcher, I took a part in redesigning their public facing website.
Phase 1: Funds and Performances page
Senior design team had already developed a simple and modern brand language to make information more accessible, when I was set a task of rapidly mocking up the ‘Funds and performances’ pages where customers can find and compare hundreds of investment opportunities. It was vital that visitors to the page would see exactly what they need at a glance.
With numerous discussions with service designers, senior designer and the client team, we agreed to focus on making the comparison experience as easy as possible for the customers to compare different products. To do this, we’ve refined the product table by introducing a filtering function and an icon to shortlist any products that are of interest to customers.
The designs are only rapidly produced to represent how we want the page to function. It is currently under development.
Phase 2: Image Selection
Another service that I’ve provided to the client was image selection. I’ve carefully chosen and edited images to best represent the look and feel of the Colonial First State brand.
Deliverables included a mood board, treated Photoshop files, in-situ images and a document suggesting size and ratio of images to best suit the responsive site.
